GIS students participate in conservation contest

The Goliad County Soil & Water Conservation District, a member of the Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, sponsored local poster contests in the public school system of Goliad County.

The poster theme for this year was “Where Does Your Water Shed” for students in the first through sixth grades. Students from Goliad Intermediate School participated in the contest.

The “Best In Grade” poster award for Grade 4 was presented to Claire Gonzalez. Students from Grade 4 receiving ribbons were Karleigh Hill, Daniela Sierra, Sydney Goslin, Lauren Bond, Angel Galindo, Andre Davis, Jensen Salge, Stephan Germinario, Makayla Roberts, Tangela Johnson, Gracey Hoefling, Bryanna Garcia, Tricia Jo Anklam, Mollee Henicke, Alberto DeLeon, Isaiah Martinez, Claire Gonzalez, Maddy Reitz, Mateo Martinez and Ryan Klinkerman.

The “Best In Grade” poster award for Grade 5 was presented to Carson Albrecht. Students from Grade 5 receiving ribbons were Bryce Svatek, Hayden Tucker, Ivy Warren, Taylor Kramer, Rosa Diaz, Courtney Camacho, Lilianna Camarillo, Grant Garnett, Isabel Torres, Kristofer Shockley, Morgana Westfall, Jake Billo, Ashlyn Davis, Brooke Yanta, Ellie Albrecht, Jaedon Segura, Carson Albrecht, Shelby Slover, Destiney Capistran and Hannah Hale.

The “Best In Grade” poster award for Grade 6 was presented to Emma Albrecht. Students from Grade 6 receiving ribbons were Cierra Mendoza, Kelly Thomas, Hayden Reitz, Ryan DeLaGarza, Emma Albrecht, Courtney Brown, Jason Gutierrez, Kaci Hotz, Bivianna Hernandez, Felicia Aguayo, Ivy Skipper, Kymberlee Fanning, Sabrina Martin, Janet Dorantes, Alexis Alvarez, Kaelynn Fox, Jennifer Valdez, McKenna Sawyer, Taylor Curry and Landry Cunningham.
