BEEVILLE – Saturday, July 5, a crew is coming to town to do some work on their film “The Gulf.”

The production is also filming in Victoria, Edna, Bloomington, Goliad and two days in Beeville.

Director Rick Perry (no relation to the Texas governor) is from UCLA and received the Jim Morrison grant to fund his film.

For the July 5 film shoot, the production team is looking for extras of all shapes and sizes; musicians, tattoo artists, old, young, pregnant, entire families, all walks of life.

The extras will be used to fill a bus in which one of the characters will be riding.

If you’re interested in being an extra, meet at the Country Villa RV Park about half a mile before the Garza East and West prison facilities on Highway 202. A parking area will be available, and those coming are asked to carpool as the production team is trying to limit the number of vehicles on the land.
