PETTUS – On March 28, the Pettus Calculator Applications Team traveled to Blinn Junior College in Schulenburg where they competed to defend their district title.

The team faced district rival, Three Rivers, along with eight other teams. Competing for the Eagles were senior Lane Kruger, sophomore Hana Kruger, freshman Kirstee Dunlap and freshmen Josh Davis.

Lane won the individual district title along with Hana, who placed fourth, Kirstee, fifth, and Josh, 10th. Together, the team once again took the team title.

The next competition will be held on May 2 at Blinn Junior College in Brenham. They will have to face Three Rivers again, who took the wild card spot at regionals, as well as a strong team from San Isidro.

There are high hopes for the team advancing to the state level. The team currently is seeded in second place in the state. Lane Kruger leads the state with the highest score after the district round.
