DuBois scholarship
Douglas E. DuBois Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, right, a Texas A&M University senior, looks over a $1,000 scholarship check presented by Dr. Williams J. Vastine with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. The scholarship, which will be halved with another student, is from the Rudy Treuenfels Educational Foundation of the National American Wholesale Grocers Association and is to support DuBois' work in food distribution and marketing.

DuBois is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. DuBois Sr. and is the grandson of Mrs. R. B. Black of Skidmore. He is completing his senior year at Texas A&M and will receive a bachelor of science degree and will then enter a graduate program in agricultural economics with the special option in food distribution and marketing.
