During the week of TAKS testing, March 4-7, A.C. Jones High School will be providing delayed entry for some students.

Senior students who have already passed the TAKS English Language Arts Test will be allowed to delay coming to school until noon on Monday, March 4.

Also, 9th and 10th grade students not involved in TAKS testing will be on the delayed entry schedule.

Those who do not have transportation for delayed entry will have access to the buses that will run at the regular times, and they will be transported as usual. At that time, if they are not scheduled for testing they will report to the auditorium where they will be supervised and engaged in an activity.

The following is the delayed entry schedule:

March 4 — 12th Grade: noon (except for re-testers)

March 4 — 9th and 10th Grade: noon

Just as a reminder: if a student does not show up for testing, staff members will be calling and going to homes to pick up students and bring them in for the appropriate tests. However, cooperation is anticipated from for successful testing. As an additional reminder: testing will end at 4 p.m. when the school day ends.
