Christus Spohn to offer PAD presentations, screenings May 9

During May, Christus Spohn’s LiveWell Education Program will host free Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) presentations and screenings.

PAD is a disease in which plaque builds up in the arteries that carry blood to your head, organs and limbs. Plaque is made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, fibrous tissue and other substances in the blood.

The presentations will begin on Thursday, May 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville’s Conference Rooms B and C. The speaker will Jamison Wyatt, M.D., interventional cardiology and vascular medicine.
