ROCKPORT – The Beeville Major girls showed some major patience at the plate on Sunday night as they walked away with a first round 17-1 victory over Aransas Pass.

The AP pitching had a hard time finding the strike zone in the first inning and walked in 13 Beeville runs to give the local young girls an insurmountable lead.

Tiah Flores and Jessalyn Burkett shared the pitching duties for the Beeville squad and limited the Aransas Pass girls to just one run over the four innings of play. The Beeville girls got four more runs on the night with Kaitlyn Pelitire blasting a run scoring triple to highlight the offense in the later frames.

The Beeville defense was also superb, making the plays to limit the AP offense and keeping the young Lady Panthers in check.

The Beeville girls advance to the second round of the postseason tourney and will step on the field for their second round match-up on July 4 at 6 p.m. at the Rockport Little League Fields.
