My SouTex is comprised of three newspapers in south Texas: The Beeville Bee-Picayune, The Progress and the Refugio County Press. The Beeville Bee-Picayune, published since 1886, is printed twice a week by Beeville Publishing Company, Inc. This paper is where the community of Bee County turns to stay infromed about community, sports, and entertainment. The Progress, published since 1973, is printed every Wednesday by the Beeville Publishing Co., Inc. This paper covers news occurring in Live Oak and McMullen Counties. The Refugio County Press, published since 1959, is printed every Thursday by the Beeville Publishing Co., Inc.. This is the paper that the residents of Refugio County turn to for the latest news.
