The Karnes City Minor girls all-star softball team competed in the District 27 Little League tournament June 26- July 5th.  The team was combined and consists of seven Karnes City girls and four Kenedy girls.  The girls did an excellent job representing Karnes County while winning 2nd place overall.  They defeated Industrial 12-10 and Yorktown 9-7.  They played Yorktown again for the championship and lost 4-5 and 3-4.  The team is coached by David Johnson, Joe Hernandez and Stephenie Johnson.
